Delete Your Data

At Daily Expense Tracker, we prioritize your privacy and data ownership. Since our app is offline-first, most of your data exists only on your device or in your personal cloud backup.

If you wish to permanently delete all your data, you can do so using any of the methods below:

1. Reset Data Within the App

The easiest way to wipe all your records while keeping the app installed is to use the built-in reset feature:

  • Open the Daily Expense Tracker app.
  • Tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner.
  • Tap Reset All Data.
  • A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm your choice, and all your expenses, wallets, and categories will be permanently deleted.

2. Clear App Storage (Android Settings)

You can also use the Android system settings to clear all local data associated with the app:

  • Go to your phone Settings.
  • Navigate to Apps or Application Manager.
  • Find and select Daily Expense Tracker.
  • Tap on Storage or Storage & Cache.
  • Tap Clear Data or Clear Storage.
  • This will reset the app to its original state and delete all local records.

3. Uninstall the Application

Uninstalling the app will automatically remove all local data stored on your device:

  • Long-press the Daily Expense Tracker icon on your home screen or app drawer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • Confirm the uninstallation.

Cloud Backup Data

If you have enabled Google Drive Backup, your data is also stored in your private Google Drive App Data folder. To delete this:

  • Follow the Reset Data steps within the app, which typically also clears the linked cloud backup.
  • Alternatively, you can manage your app data through your Google Account security settings under "Third-party apps with account access".

If you have any questions or need further assistance with your data, please contact us at [email protected].
